POSITION SUMMARY

Assumes responsibility for developing highly performing, customized and responsive cross-platform applications and its back-end services that deliver exceptional user experience and functionality. Participates in all phases of the software development life-cycle and ensures the delivery of quality software according to system specifications, quality requirements and Company standards. In addition, works collaboratively with other Software Developers and Software Testers, actively participates in peer reviews, and contributes to process improvements.

RIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions of the Position) include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Analyzes features and user requirements to create user stories, design specifications and provides effort estimation for software development.
  • Works on new features development and maintenance of existing features and defects fixing.
  • Writes well designed, flawless, secure, testable, and efficient code.
  • Develops unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Develops technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.
  • Ensures timely delivery in compliance with specifications and project plans.
  • Participates in functional and regression testing and to identify, record, document thoroughly and track defects (in issue tracker tool).
  • Participates in the software, test cases and documents review process to ensure high quality.
  • Guarantees strict adherence of software development processes and methodologies to ImpediMed standards.
  • Stays up-to-date with the latest software development techniques, strategies, development tools/frameworks.
  • Maintains required privacy and security of all PHI and ePHI used to fulfill job duties in compliance with HIPAA and all other applicable laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

Typical Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Good understanding of software development life cycle, Agile methodology and Scrum framework.
  • Professional experience with web programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js).
  • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Design Patterns.
  • Good understanding of databases.
  • Good understanding of DevOps.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Service (AWS) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving mindset and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaborative teamwork capabilities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency in English language (both oral and written).
  • Medical Device experience coupled with digital health experience is a plus.
